Fantasy World/Mundo de Fantasia

Nota: Versão portuguesa mais abaixo

I’ve always consider the interest in fantasy to be related to a need to have an escape from the real world. In books, movies, plays, tv shows and even song lyrics, we get to live from others experiences all the things that we have always wished, or feared or secretly dreamed about. I think the things you watch, and the stories you are interested in can reveal a lot about the person that you are and the struggles you face within yourself. It’s not always simple or clear, because it may not even be related to the main story line, what gets to you may be a secondary character or simply a nuance in one of the relationships in a big plot.

You may not even realize it, you probably shouldn’t, unless you’re a rational freak as I am, because in my point of view art is supposed to be enjoyed more than understood.  This is why I can’t let myself be convinced to watch someone else’s favorite movie or show, why I would never try to force someone to listen to the songs that I hear on repeat over and over again or try to advertise a book that no matter how many years have gone by is still on my “to go” list. I would never do it because, at least for me, it’s something so special, so personal, it’s something that comes from the heart. Nowadays, the offer is so big, everywhere you turn you have thousands of story lines throwing at you every single day and it’s hard to tell why some work and some didn’t, but in the end I guess that’s a good thing because it means that there’s something out there for everyone. I’m not one of those people who will mistake reality with fiction, that sees characters as real people or that can’t understand that it’s never exactly like that in the real world, but I will not deny I have learn a lot about the world, but more important about myself with the stories I follow. I need things that challenge me, that make me consider what I would do if I was to be in a similar situation, things that make me fight my demons and face those things you try to hide away from everybody. I like specially how nowadays heroes don’t have to be perfect anymore, how they stumble and fall and make mistakes, how they imitate life in the sense they can be great in some areas and completely clueless in others. It gives us hope, it tells us that maybe we’re just being too harsh on ourselves when we strive for perfections, that it’s okay to fall, that it’s okay to seek help and mostly that you can’t (and don’t have to) make it alone.

I’m guessing it’s not the same for everyone. Maybe for most of you, movies, tv shows, books and music are just a way to relax after a long day of work and you don’t put much thought into it. Maybe all of this just makes sense to those you are more closed up, but it’s a nice safety network, is good to have they nice place to go “home” to when you want to hide of the world. So, when people say kids need to get out the house more, watch less tv or put the earphones down more often, I agree with them in a way, of course, because yes, the real world is out there, but at the same time, I understand this need and I think that in some cases it can actually be helpful and healthier having this world to run to every once in a while.

Sophie knew/A Sophie sabia

Nota: versão portuguesa mais abaixo

Sophie had these odd moments where she would very easily switch from an utter laid back, easy going, happy mood to being completely cranky and easily annoyed by pretty much everything around her. It was hard to know what the trigger was, what set her off, tiredness and lack of sleep could definitely make into the list, but then again there were weeks when she was so high on imagination and writing that she would do fine with 4 hours a sleep a day. Sophie knew better than try to fight them, she knew they would come in waves, all she needed was time on her own, just her and her iPod, time to sleep it off. Or maybe she needed more, but she had learned how to cope with only this.

We spend all the time searching for something that we’re not even sure what it is. Day after day, always wishing for that moment to come, a new episode of your favorite tv show, the visit of a dear one, a trip… we spend all the time focus on everything but the moment in hands, wanting to kill time, to skip ahead the boring moments, desiring for the exciting ones. Like a movie, we want our life to cut out the non-interesting parts and just keep the juicier ones, the ones that you think matter, that give you butterflies in the stomach and make you smile. We spend all the time searching for the next big thing, the next thrill not realizing how big all the other moments are, dismissing opportunities and not taking fully advantage of our experiences because we’re already anticipating something else. Life is not a sprint nor a highlights story, so we must remind ourselves that while we’re anticipating for the next Monday to come a full week is getting wasted for no reason. It’s not always easy to keep things in perspective, excitement, curiosity, interest take over but it’s crucial that we are at least aware of it so we can try to fight it somehow.

Quick update/Novidades

Nota: Versão em português mais abaixo

This is one of those quick updates posts. I know I’ve been slacking lately, not posting as much as I would like, but I have good excuses, I promise!

First, like I told you a couple post ago, I decided to give it a try to Fan Fiction. I’ve been updating my story with a new chapter mostly daily so it’s hard sometimes to find the time (and inspiration) to write a blog post after that. The experience has been quite amazing, it’s not something I’m sure I’ll be doing regularly because it’s limiting in a way that you should stay true to the show’s characters but it’s a great way to practice and get some reviews.
Unlike other Internet universes I really enjoyed the vibe on this website. People were very supportive and provided constructive feedback, so I really had a good time doing it.
Yesterday I posted the last chapter of my story and these were the results my story got so far:

Followers: 103
Reviews: 57
Favorites: 34

So, this particular story is based on the Tv Show Castle, which for those who don’t know tells the story about a detective and a writer who starts to shadow her in order to get inspiration for his books. If any of you would like to check it, please click here. By the way I recommend the show too, but about that if you wish to know more, please ask.

Another reason why I hadn’t been posted that much is because I also took a few days to travel and went to visit Madrid, to be perfectly honest it was much better than I was expected. We had some adventures but it was really nice.

My third “excuse” is, I think just as good as the previous ones and lays on the fact that I’ve been enjoying some good times with my friends. It’s easy for me to get lost in my mind sometimes, so it’s great when I have the time and the mood to spend time with the people I care about and share some laughs. These past weeks I really have enjoyed myself with them, therefore having a little less time to write.
So, I wanted to kind of justify myself, because I want you to keep coming back and one of the goals for this month is trying to post more regularly again. I just have to find a balance between my chores, my life and writing, because hey, what are you going to write about if you don’t live your life?,

Oh by the way, here’s the link to my Tumblr, just in case you like that world too - Hey are we there yet?

Aproveito também para deixar aqui o link para o meu Tumblr, se alguém for dessas andanças - Hey, are we there yet?

“Happy times, happy nights, happy days are here again”*

Nota: Versão portuguesa mais abaixo

Every once in a while you need to be reminded about the good things in life. It’s uncanny how something that feels so good can be forgotten, but human mind has its tricky ways and you don’t even know you miss it until you’re confronted with it again. The simple things, always the simple things… it’s indescribable, undefinable, because it’s not a thing of reason but comes from the heart. It’s a sense of belonging, of being comfortable, of knowing that time can fly all it wants but it will never change the little things that make your lips curl into a genuine smile. And it’s silly knowing that these things make you happy and yet not taking advantage of it. Silly how so many times we avoid them, because we’re too tired or are too lazy. Silly how we can even forget how great and important relaxed moments like these are for our own sanity. Yes, probably part of what makes it so special is being rare, that always tend to make us appreciate things more, but that doesn’t change the fact that in a flash your mood rises above everything else.
Every once in a while, we should have happy moments at least every once in a while. Forget the troubles and just enjoy ourselves for a moment. Take a break, a pause, force ourselves to remember that life is nothing if you don’t have fun, if you don’t share it and enjoy it with the ones that make you laugh.

As coisas simples, sempre as coisas simples...

It’s a nice feeling, that first shiver when autumn comes and weather changes, the first night you have to reach for the blankets because your feet are getting just a little chilly. Not enough to call it cold, just not as warm. I like to feel the changes, the days getting smaller, the sky still dark where it used to be sunny, the street lamps lighting up everytime a little bit sooner. It brings backs those seasonal feelings, it makes me think of different shades of browns and pretty orange tones, smell of things like hot chocolate and cinnamon fill up my nostrils. It reminds me that it’s time to bring out the cozy clothes from the attic and that in a few months Christmas will be here.
Remember how great it feels to stay in bed in a rainy and windy night listening the fat water drops flooding the streets? How it feels to be hugged by the warmer coats and pretty scarfs? Seasons guide you through time, help you keep a track of yourself as they make you think about what you were doing the same time of the year one, two, three days ago. They’re good time measures and

Diferentes.

Uma boa gargalhada/A Good Laugh

Note: For the English version please scroll down!!! : )

A Good Laugh

There are two types of good memories, the ones that make you sad because they’re over and the ones that simply make you feel blessed for having those moments in your life. I finally decided to convert my VHS home videos to digital, and I never thought I would have so much fun! I knew what was on them (at least for the most part) so what I found wasn’t a big surprise, but what’s amazing is that after so many years, and after watching them over and over again I still laughed by butt off just like I did the very first time.
Despite my quirky temper and crazy moods I have always considered to have had quite an amazing childhood/teenage years, so it’s not like I needed to watch them on tape to be reminded of that. However, watching those silly videos and hearing the laughs really made me happy. A lot of the things there wouldn’t make sense to most people but to us it was the funniest thing, because we were so in sync, and that’s part of what makes it so special, it was our little world.
I didn’t managed to watch them all yet, but still it was enough to bring me back to those times where we didn’t want to grow up, where  every single break was an opportunity to be silly. Maybe this is something all of you did when you were younger (and if it was, I’m glad for you!), but for us it was something very special. Year after year the ark in the addict was open to unleash the clothes and masks that every time would be used to create different characters. Most of it was improvised, madness of the moment, but it was so much fun.
I’m also glad that some of the people that shared these moments with me still are a big part of my life, and the ones that, for life circumstances are not, are still highly cherished. There’s no way to define a perfect childhood, but if someone was to try, having these moments should definitely be on that list.

Thank you Sara, Bagaça, Teh, Tania and Mikas for making my school years so hilarious (and to all of those who here and there made some guest appearances).

Humores/Moods

Note: For english version please scroll down ;)

Moods

She can feel it taking over, her mind losing control. She can see her mood switching in a second, for no reason. She knows where this is heading to, she has been here before, and yet she can’t stop it. She’s aware it’s coming and that’s the worst part of it all. She knows it’s not justified, but she can’t help it.
The feeling is strong and so overwhelming. How is she supposed to fight something she doesn’t understand? She closes her eyes, feeling her heart tighten inside her chest, anticipating the wave of crankiness and sadness she knows is coming.
Deep, long breaths, she remembers, trying to focus on something else, you got this, she keeps lying to herself. Alienating herself from the rest of the group she blasts her tunes hoping her pain will find its way out with the lyrics or that the sound of it is strong enough to vanish her thoughts.
She doesn’t want to go back to that, she has been there and she has promised herself not to fall into it again. She’s not alone, even if her head and her heart are telling her otherwise, she knows she’s not alone. She can’t be, she can’t let herself fall down the rabbit hole again.

Across the ocean/Do outro lado do oceano

NOTA: Versão portuguesa mais abaixo!

It makes me sad and so happy at the same time. Sad to know that I’m not always there, that I won’t be available to dry off all the tears, to enjoy all the laughs, to watch them grow, to share more moments, to create more memories. Happy for being so blessed, for having the opportunity to have met this extraordinary people who despite the distance and the fact that, with some, I only managed to share a few encounters here and there, somehow found a especial place in my heart.
It’s never perfect, never fair, because when you’re here you wish you were there and when you’re there you know that if you stay too long you’ll miss what you have here. There are days that you’re so busy or having so much fun with all the ones to you are lucky to still have near you that you almost forget about the rest, but then a picture pops up and the memories flood in and you just wish you have enough money so you could stop by everytime you feel the urge to get them a hug, it makes you wish the world wasn’t so big. So you wiggle your way through the sea of feelings, trying to balance out the good days with the ones where melancholy takes over.
It’s such a wonderful world out there, and it never stops to amaze me how people from different cultures, different backgrounds, different ages, with different goals and life experiences can meet so randomly and yet create these wonderful friendships that you treasure so much. These are not the friends you have by your side all the time, that you shared a lifetime with. The relationship is not built so much on the amount of time spent together, but on how great those little moments are, and probably that’s part of what makes it special. It’s a different kind of friendship than most of us experience every day, because since you’re aware that you’re time with them is limited you make the most of it.

Do outro lado do Oceano

O que farias?/What would you do?

Note: For the English version please scroll down

What would you do?

What would you do if you could have all your dreams? Would you be happier then? Would you be content or find new ones?
Is there anything better than dreaming? Than playing with the unlikely? Than putting yourself in all those scary situations you’ve always wondered if you would be able to cope with?
You have to stay real, you can’t lose yourself in fairytale land, but isn’t it healthy to have that parallel world? And I’m not talking about a place where everything goes well and there are no challenges, I’m talking about an alternative reality where the pain and fear still exist but where friendship, love and courage make it possible for you to overcome the obstacles. A place where falling is not the end of the world and breaking apart doesn’t feel like a failure.
Dreaming is more than a silly escape, is a coping mechanism. So what would you do if you had a chance to make it all real? Would you dare to share them with the world or still rather keep them to yourself?

Update - novo desafio/new challenge

English Version

This is post will be a bit different from the usual. I wanted to explain and share a few things with you, so instead of doing a small side note, I figured I could dedicate a whole post to it.
First, as some of you may have noticed, lately I haven’t been updating this blog as regularly as before and I would like to explain you why. Well, to start, inspiration doesn’t exactly strikes when you want but it’s been actually due more to lack of time than anything else. I’ve been working on a few other “projects” and it got harder to balance it all. After publishing my first book I have been receiving some requests to write another one, and though I don’t think it’s going to happen anytime soon (or even sure if it will happen at all) I have a couple stories I’m working on. Besides that, sort of as an accident one of these days I stumbled across a fan fiction website. For those of you who are not familiar with the term (I wasn’t either) it’s a website where regular people go and write their own versions of already existing Tv Shows/Plays/Movies etc. Now, it is a bit like cheating, because you’re basing your stories on characters that have already been written by someone else, and you do have the advantage of having already people interested in them which make them more likely to read your stuff, but still it’s a good way to practice. What I like most about the website is that it has a positive vibe, the reviews are friendly and constructive so it’s motivating. All of this to tell you that after reading a thousand of other peoples stories I decided to give it a try and have now a published story there that I update regularly. So, with all that writing I haven’t have all the time I wished to dedicate to this blog, but I promise to try to get better.
While I was thinking about this parallel projects I also noticed that because I mostly read and write in English and my work involves also only speaking/writing in English, my Portuguese writing is becoming a bit rusty. Not only that but a lot of people that are close to me and to whom some of the post may be directed don’t read or fully understand English so that made me consider the  trying to write as most posts as possible in both languages. Now, I can’t guarantee this will always happen because I’m aware that I write much freely when I’m writing in English and this is the only place I can truly be free, so I wouldn’t want to change that. To be quite honest, I can’t stand most things I write if I translate them to Portuguese but I can try to adjust them, I think it would be a good challenge for me. Therefore, I would like to compromise, I would like to agree with you that I will try to post in both languages as much as possible, but also go ahead and be honest telling you that it won’t always happen. So if you click on a post and it’s not in the language that suits you, please scroll down as another version may be available.

Um elogio à família (e aos Ferreiras)/ A praise to the family

Note: For the english version please scroll down

A praise to the familia

Family is where you find the people you most love and hate, sometimes wrapped up in the same person. Is where you have the ones you'll give up your life for, those who you wish you can dismiss and all that's in between.

There're no perfect families, and when you used to be so proud of yours, figuring this out can be a shock at first, but sooner you'll understand that what makes yours special is not being perfect but being unique. As life goes by and you grow up is only natural that what once seemed a fairytale reveals its flaws, and that can be disappointing, but if you stay long enough, if you give it a chance you'll realize that even if it's not all you thought, the core is still there and the reasons that made you love it at first haven't changed.

Like anything else in life, with family you have a choice. You can either focus on the bad and have a bitter existence or take the best it has and be glad you're part of such an unique group. Whether I agree or not with some of my family's options, whether I feel I'm a perfect fit for it or not, whether others can understand it or not, truth is I can only be proud of being an (active) part of this clan.

And maybe there was a time when I struggled to be proud about something not perfect, but now I can honestly tell that that's part of what makes me love it even more, because nothing that's good comes easy, you have to work for it, and being part of such a perfectly imperfect family was the best way to learn it.

Because some of my best family memories are things unheard for most people. Because no matter how much I travel, nothing can compare to the holidays spent with 30+ other Ferreiras. Because this is the only family I know that organizes their own plays, shows and summer camps. Because it's the one where family gatherings are actually something to look forward rather than a nightmare, the one where you can have a degree or be an artist that the level of respect for you won't change. Where you can have a full home but always find room for one more. Because it's where I learned not to feel like a saint for helping people but to see it as something natural. Where I learned to fall and get back on my feet, to be independent, to look around and see that there's always someone smaller, younger, weaker that we can help take care of. Because drugs, alcohol, psychiatrists and mental conditions were never a tabu and I learned about them not on the streets but at home, in first hand. Because these were the people who taught me that a drug addict shouldn't not be discriminated as he's more dangerous to himself than to anyone else, the ones that were not ashamed to tell a story about a brother who got lost in the drugs' world, but proud to tell us how he got out of it.

So, even if there're lies and fights or I don't always feel like I belong, even if it's sad that sometimes things get in the way and people are not always rooting for you and chose to walk away, even if there's anger and madness and jealously and sometimes even evil, still it's not enough to top the good parts. Still it will never be enough to erase the memories and the stories that no-one I ever met was able to match.

There's craziness and madness all around but there's also a unique spirit and tradition that I haven't seen in anybody's else family, so at the end of the day I'm proud to be part of it.

Just let it run

Some days I just want to sit and write. Sometimes I wish I could pause the world and just dive into this sea of letters, words and feelings where you’re never hurt, never wrong, never misunderstood.
Real life feeds your imagination and it matters of course, but at times dealing with what’s real it’s not nearly as fun or appealing as driving the characters in your mind through the mess of their so perfectly imperfect lives.
There are days, weeks even, I think I’d be content just to be sitting here in the darkness of my room trying to figure out different ways to live through someone else’s stories, to figure about myself through someone else’s dilemmas.

Simple pleasures

There are things in life that can’t be explained. Little pleasures that bright up your life and put a smile on your face. The safe spots, simple things that you took for granted in the past, that you almost forget in the rush of everyday but that when cross your path again still manage to bring out that peace, that pure joy.
I wanted to put in words how it felt today, touching that round piece of rubber again. I wanted to share how it changed my mood, how suddenly the 26+ sleepless hours didn’t seem to matter anymore. I wanted to put in writing how great I felt just to get in that court once again. I keep trying to find the words for it but I can’t find them… I wanted to do it so I could read it whenever I need little pick me up, I wanted to do it so I can share with you that amazing sensation but how can you explain it? How can you explain it to someone who never played the comfort (not just physical) it gives you to put on those baggy shorts? How you miss the ritual of getting your jersey on? How can you explain how soothing is the process of getting your sneakers ready and tied them perfectly? It just feels right… and right there you know you won’t regret going, right there you know you won’t feel tired, but that’s just the start. The real rush happens when you finally step in on the court, when you caress the ball between your fingers and give the first dribbles, the sound of it bumping on the floor warms you up inside. The swish sound of the first made shot echoes in your head and suddenly all makes sense… all the late nights and early mornings, the missed dinners and parties, the bruises the sacrifices, not because it was your obligation but because playing was above all a pleasure!
It’s uncanny how something that simple can change your mood in slip of a second. It’s illogical and I can’t explain it, not if you never had a passion like it but it’s good, it’s so good.

"Vindo do coração toda a gente sabe escrever..."*

5000 visits!

A few months ago I made a special post celebrating 1500 visits on this blog, a blog that I had created in 2006, a blog that for the first years I didn’t share it with almost anybody and that suffered an almost 5 years hiatus. Little did I know that just a few months later I would be here celebrating the unbelievable number of 5000 visits! It still amazes me that a lot of you come here regularly, that you take the time to read these crazy things that come out of my head, that more often than I would expect you identify with what is written…
It’s both scary and exciting when I look at the list of countries that most visit my blog and I find that countries like Russia, Germany or France are part of the top 10 when I don’t even know anybody who lives there.
I always thought it was scary to put myself out there, to share my pieces but now I’m starting to understand why so many people take the risk, because it means the world everytime someone praises your work or gets exactly what you mean. The feedback, comments like:

“Your blog (…) make people feel peace” (Annonymous)

“Really special, a very inspiring and introspective piece of work” (Annee Tromp)

“I have thoroughly enjoyed browsing your weblog posts, after all I'll be subscribing to your rss feed then I hope you write again quickly! “(Annonymous)

“Continue writing, you are GREAT!!!” (KKaytano)

“Mais uma vez espectacular” (Raquel)

“Amei” (Bagaça)

“Compreendo tao bem!adorei!” (Mariana P.)

are just a small sample of how rewarding it can be to accept a challenge. So to all of you that visit, read, comment or share this blog with others a BIG thank you! Your visits and comments light up my day. The only thing I can complain is not being able to meet you all, to know your stories, what keeps you interested, not being able to thank each and every one of you personally, so this was the way I found to do it.
Thank you for visiting, please keep coming back! And if you have you own blogs let me know so I can check them out! J

“I want to take the pain away, and I know I can't and it just kills me.”*

One more of those days, one more of those moments, where you’re left without words, without action. What can you do when there’s no reason? What to say when nothing you can do will make it better?
When life is unfair and out of the blue takes away something (someone) they love, when with its twisted sense of humor life tricks you to think it was just a big scare, that it’s going to be allright and then… it’s not. Then it’s all wrong!
Is there any right way to deal with it? Is there a way to avoid feeling so useless when you look into those tearful eyes and their sorrow takes over you? It’s sad when you realize sometimes your embrace is not enough anymore and unlike before,  this time no story nor song, or game nor bet, will bring back that smile. It breaks your heart just to know they’re in pain, so you hold to them tight, as close as you can, hoping some of their pain will rub off on you, hoping that it helps having a shoulder to cry on.
Sometimes life is unfair and there’s nothing you can do to protect those you love, sometimes all you can do is be right there hoping that knowing that they’re not alone will be enough to ease their pain.

Home

Home doesn’t have to be a place, it can be a person, a sound, a music, a smile, a hug or even a habit… home is where your heart is, where you feel safe. Home is that safe spot you seek when the whole world starts to fall apart, is what you crave when you’re breaking into pieces. Home doesn’t have to have four walls and a roof, it isn’t necessarily where you live. Home is what you look for when you just want to crawl up and wallow when you’re crushed.
Home, mistakenly often by a physic place, home is much more than that. Home is where happiness, anger, frustration and true love meet and co-live in an unlikely harmony. To be home is to be in such a deep comfort that nothing you can do or say will destroy that feeling.  Home is where you can let go of your fears and just be the real you, where the mask falls and the unadulterated you can show up without reservations.
Home is like most of all important things in life impossible to describe, it is not something you put in words but simply something you feel inside. Have you found yours?

Breakdown

Note: Just another random piece that maybe one day will become part of something bigger.

She was driving home when out of the blue it hit her. It was always like that with her, she would ignore he pain, buried deep, pretend that everything was fine, fake her smile all the way, until it was impossible to hold it inside and something as simple as a song would trigger a massive breakdown. The day hadn’t been particularly hard, she had actually enjoyed most of it, so why the tears now? She looks at the car’s CD player, wanting to turn it off, but she’s hypnotized. Hypnotized by the words that seem to be written for her

I must have cried a thousand times
I've heard thousands of your lies
Walked ten thousand miles for you
So for the thousandth time don't…
Don't play with me
Don't play with me
Don't play with me no more
Don't you play with me
Don't play with me
Don't play with me no more

She heard this album a thousand times before, but only today the words are sinking in. Only today they are making her cry and once again she wonders how is it possible that someone can put in words what she’s feeling better than herself. She tries not to think about him about his lies, about his games but it continues…

If it's not what you want
And I'm not what you want
Then what do you want from me?
I'm screaming “You won!”
At the top of my lungs
So why not be done with me?
Let it burn, let it burn, let it burn
Cos boy I don't trust ya
So it's bitter when I say so
I know I still love ya*

That’s it! Word by word, a perfect description of what goes inside her… how she’s done being fooled, how she’s giving up though it hurts her more than anyone can see, how no matter what he’ll say she won’t trust him, how she just wishes everything would end. She’s not just crying anymore, she’s sobbing as all the emotions she has been hiding from seem to immerse. The pain is too real, the fear of having to face this, her whole life, the guilt of not being stronger… stronger enough to make him change. The tears don’t stop falling down and she has to stop the car as she can barely see the road anymore. She looks at herself in the mirror and the desperation in her eyes only make her cry more.

Noite

No horizonte longinquo,

Quero curar-me

Quero curar-me,
Desta dor que trago cá dentro
Das ideias que me perseguem
Dos sonhos que me aterrorizam.

Quero curar-me,
Desta vida controlada pelo medo
Das palavras que ficam por dizer
Das emoções sempre sentidas.

Quero vencer-me,
Derrotar os fantasmas interiores
Por um fim às batalhas intermináveis
Descobrir outros lados de mim.

Quero curar-me,
Dar férias a este cérebro pensante
Aventurar-me por novos caminhos
Explorar esse vasto Mundo que é sentir.

Quero curar-me,
Mantendo o que me torna única
Melhorando o que me aflije
Procurando algo mais.

Quero curar-me,
Não mudar,
Não crescer,
Apenas curar-me.

Facing fears

You need to stop running.
I can’t!
You need to take a chance for once.
I don’t think I can…
You’ll always wonder
Maybe that’s better
How can that be better?
It’s better to wonder than to know you don’t stand a chance
Chance of what?
Being fixed…

If I should die

If I should die today what would I leave behind?
Should I be gone today what would be my fingerprint in this huge world?
24 years is quite some time, but what have I done with it? How many lives did I touch? How much was lost in the way?
Should this be your last day on Earth, what would you do? If you knew this was your last chance would it change anything?
Should you be gone tomorrow how would you evaluate your life? Looking back, would you be glad with where you are?
If you should die today, how long it would take for your legacy to be forgotten?
