The bond that connects you to your family is not one of blood, bu tone of love, respect and appreciation.
Some people are lucky to be born in a family they love and truly belong to, some people build their families along the way. If you’re lucky enough, you’ll get the best of both worlds.
Your family is where you always feel welcome, where you feel at home, where you feel safe. Your family doesn’t have to be in one place, because family is not about location, it’s about the people.
Some members of your family might have been there since you were born, watched you grow, but that doesn’t mean that the ones you weren’t know you any less.
Sometimes you wonder if you’ll ever feel the urge to set roots in one place, but why be limited to one place if when you go, you just add to your family?

It might mean that sometimes you really wish you were in Portugal, that you have a strong need to visit the kids in Boston, that you can’t wait to see your family in New Jersey or stay away from Poland for too long, but if you’re bonding in all those places, than you must be doing something right!
